Our Services

At Standing Tall Paediatric Therapy, we begin with a comprehensive assessment and observation of your child across all areas of life, so we truly understand their unique strengths and challenges. This evaluation helps us determine how best to support your child and family. We then offer flexible services—including community visits, clinic sessions, and telehealth—designed to target key areas such as fine motor, gross motor, sensory integration, regulation, social skills, and self-care. By focusing on the underlying skills needed for everyday tasks, we work together to build a strong foundation for your child's success.

Community Visits

Community visits can be conducted in your child's home, school, or local park, with sessions tailored to each specific environment. These sessions are highly beneficial, as our therapists work directly with your child and their support network to provide targeted assistance. In school settings, for example, our therapists collaborate with teachers to ensure that your child receives the most effective support in their educational environment.

Clinic Sessions

Clinic-based therapy sessions provide a safe, controlled environment where the therapists can utilise specialised equipment to deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions. In our dedicated clinic, every piece of equipment is carefully chosen to support specific developmental needs—whether enhancing fine motor skills with interactive, tactile tools or building gross motor abilities through activities that promote strength and balance.

Telehealth Consultations

Telehealth is a vital component of our service, offering a convenient way to educate and support parents, carers, and teachers without the need for travel. Therapists provide tailored education sessions, sharing practical strategies and resources to help you support your child throughout the week. This flexible approach not only saves time but also ensures that you receive timely guidance and ongoing advice, enabling you to integrate effective support seamlessly into your child’s daily routine.

Developing fine motor skills is achieved through engaging activities that enhance hand-eye coordination, strength, and dexterity. Children work on tasks such as drawing, writing, cutting, and buttoning, all of which lay the foundation for academic success and everyday self-care routines.

    Sensory Integration

We employ a bottom-up process aligned with the child pyramid model to address fundamental sensory needs and support children with sensitivities—such as those to sound, touch, and other stimuli—that can impact daily life. By focusing on these essential skills, we build a strong foundation that prepares children to tackle more complex tasks and everyday challenges with greater confidence

    Social Interaction

we foster social development by engaging children in structured activities that promote effective communication, turn-taking, and cooperative play. This approach not only encourages positive interactions with peers and family members but also helps children develop meaningful friendships and become supportive, caring friends.

  • Self Care and Independence

We empower children to become more independent in their daily routines. By breaking down self-care tasks—such as dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene—into manageable steps, children gain the confidence and autonomy needed to complete these activities successfully. Our approach also focuses on enhancing gross and fine motor skills that may affect a child's ability to perform self-care tasks effectively.
